Perfume Packaging Design

Narkissos - Primary and Secondary Packaging Design

I’ve designed a personal perfume brand and packaging called Narkissos. In short, an eau de toilette is a lightly scented perfume, also referred to as aromatic waters and has a high alcohol content. It is usually applied directly to the skin after bathing or shaving. Narkissos, the perfume brand name, is inspired by the Greek mythology behind the daffodil flower, where Narcissus fell and drowned in a pool of water after gazing upon his reflection of himself because it was the only thing he desired, hence a white and yellow flower sprouting in his name.

The primary packaging (perfume bottle) imitates the textured form of the pillars of Greek architecture in ancient civilization for the top and bottom structure, with a translucent middle body that shows the contained liquid and secured with a translucent cover over a triangular-like form for the spray nozzle. As for the secondary packaging, a simple illustration of a daffodil flower is placed on top a pool of water to reflect the Greek mythology that inspired the perfume’s identity.
