I’ve illustrated and developed a comic/webtoon as the final outcome of my Final Year Project (FYP) as fulfillment of my Bachelor's Degree of Design Technology at UNIMAS. This comic was made to address the social issue of online grooming, a cyber crime, involving minors being taken advantage of, through the use of a relatable format, which is comics. The primary final outcome of this FYP is a digital comic uploaded onto the well-known comic platform WEBTOON by Naver Corporation. The vertical scrolling interface of this platform enables readers to conveniently enjoy their webtoons while on the phone. The creation of this comic was also backed up by several interviews with experts in related fields that support the use of illustrative media to address such issues.

This comic comprises of three episodes, implementing the 3 act story structure, namely Setup, Confrontation, and Resolution. Along with the digital comic, a physical book version was proposed to open up options for those who prefer the tactile feeling of reading. As for promotional methods, I proposed to use social media, such as Instagram, and posters with an interactive QR code that redirects you to WEBTOON.
